Hy everybody,
I have a small issue, hopefully you can help me. I have a DVD, which I wanna ripp it with Handbrake, for a smaller size. I want to use handbrake because I like the quality of the ripped movie. Until here I succeeded with the tutorials from web.
The problem is I wanna get and subtitle in a separate srt file, but I have no idea how to do it. I transform the movie in a mp4 file. I've got some srt files from the internet, but after 5 minute of playing or they are to fast or they are too slow.
The DVD has 25 FPS ( I've checked with media Info on a VOB file from the DVD ). All subtitles I've found are 23.796 FPS. I tried to transform the movie at 23.796 FPS with HanBrake, but the result is the same.
Can you help me with an idea how can I get a subtitle for the movie ( I wanna mention, that I want to be a romanian subtitle, which I can get it from the DVD )?

  • Aug 19, 2015  That said, ‘HandBrake’ contained a very useful feature that used to let one to set the quality, based on the output file’s size, but it’s not there anymore. And that’s my only complaint so far 🙂. So anyway, if you’re using Fedora 22 and want to install the latest version (0.10.2), then please follow the below steps.
